Story follows a teenaged girl named Lucy Heartfilia who aims to join the world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. Light(Raito) Yagami is a brilliant teenager still in school who holds a pessimistic view of the world. He seems to see crime everywhere and believes it to be corrupted. He finds the world boring. When he finds a mysterious notebook on the ground titled "Death Note" he takes it home out of curiosity. Inside the notebook there is instructions on how to use it. Apparently it wasn't just a joke, the book is able to kill anyone who's true name is written in. However, while writing the name the killer must be thinking of the victims face. Light decides that he should cleanse the world of evil with this book. He would become god of the perfect world. After a series of murders, the Japanese Police and the best detective in the world, "L", begin to track him down. Yagami is quick to realize that "L" is a genius due to the fact that he was able to quickly pinpoint his location in Japan, and also finds out that the murders can only be done on people who's name and face are known. A intense battle of intelligence where hiding one's identity and finding the other's is they key begins, who will win?

Tsukamoto Tenma is an ordinary 2nd year high school student who has fallen in love with one of her classmates, Karasuma Ooji. However, currently she is unable to confess her feelings to him. To make things worse, she found out that Karasuma is transferring to another school in a year. On the other hand, Tenma's other classmate, Harima Kenji (who is a delinquent) is also in love with Tenma. Not being able to confess his feelings, Harima gets depressed day by day.

The Law of ueki

The story starts out with the Battle of the Supernatural Powers, a tournament to decide who will be the next God of Heaven. Each candidate (100 in total) is required to choose a junior high school student (middle school) to act as their fighter. Each student is given a unique power and the winning God Candidate will become The New God of Heaven and the winning student will receive the Blank Zai (or talent), a talent that can be anything they choose.
